WPS will be performing a maintenance that will only impact Medicare response files 835s, 277s and 277CAs; there will be no impact to files from TRICARE, WPS Health Insurance or WPS Health Plan.
The maintenance will occur from approximately 5:00 p.m. CT Friday, September 20, 2024, through approximately 12:00 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2024.
Medicare response files will be delayed until the outage is over. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we update our system.

We are pleased to inform you that Optum (formerly Change Healthcare) Payer Enroll Services (PES) will be available starting August 1, 2024, for EFT and ERA registrations.
If you need assistance with the registration process, Optum is available to help at 800-956-5190. Their support hours are Monday through Thursday, from 8 AM to 5 PM CST.

WPS Commercial Business Electronic Payments are Changing!
Beginning Sept. 11, 2023, WPS Commercial business will be moving to Zelis for electronic payments. In order to continue to receive electronic payments and/or electronic remittance advice (ERA) after Sept. 11, providers will need to enroll in the Zelis Payment Network. Contact Zelis Provider Enrollment at 855-496-1571. Enroll now to prevent disruptions to your payment cycle.
Family Care and CLTS are excluded from this change and can continue to enroll via the Change Healthcare Payer Enrollment Service. There are no changes for WPS Medicare or TRICARE contracts.

The WPS Corporate Services–EDI department has a dedicated team whose primary function is to consult and serve providers regarding Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) use. Our team is experienced in dealing with a variety of provider specialties, billing services, and software vendors.
We continue to offer and improve our superior EDI software products based on our Trading Partners’ needs, as well as our supplemental EDI products, such as Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA), Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), and real-time eligibility and claim status transactions
WPS Health Insurance has years of experience in EDI transaction processing. We provide EDI services to our Trading Partners for WPS Health Insurance, TRICARE East Region, TRICARE Overseas, TRICARE For Life, Medicare MAC J5 Parts A and B, MAC J8 Parts A and B, and WPS Health Plan contracts.
We look forward to working closely with all of our Trading Partners to provide excellent EDI service and support today and into the future. Providers who are interested in becoming an EDI Trading Partner with WPS should contact our EDI team.
For the WPS Health Insurance, WPS Health Plan, Family Care/Children’s Program and UCARE lines of business, the 277CA Claims Acknowledgments are processed by a third party, Smart Data Solutions (SDS).
Acknowledgment files (TA1, 999, 277CA) will be available in the same location within WPS Gateway Express. Due to the validation and edit process, multiple 277CAs may be generated for claims within a single file/transaction.
